Description

The EMOSONG 2-Ton Foldable Engine Hoist is a shop crane for pulling and installing engines and transmissions. The telescoping boom is marked at 2, 1.5, 1 and 1/2 ton positions, and maximum hook height is 81 in at full extension, enough to clear the core support on most cars and light trucks.

The boom has four marked positions, with the rated capacity stamped at each one: 2 tons at the shortest setting down to half a ton at full extension. An 8-ton, long-ram hydraulic cylinder provides smooth lift and a metered release. The legs fold upright so the hoist stores in roughly a 2 × 3 ft footprint against a wall.

Use a load leveler and rated chain when pulling an engine, keep the load as close to the mast as possible, and never exceed the capacity shown for the boom position in use. Move the hoist with the load lowered and on a smooth, level floor only.
